Sustainable workforce planning with international recruitment

Demographic change and the associated skills shortages are becoming an increasingly important issue for companies in almost all sectors. In order to attract young, qualified employees in the long term, so-called "company benefits" are becoming increasingly important in addition to remuneration. For example, flexible working arrangements, practical appreciation for each individual employee and the company's environmental footprint are playing an increasingly important role in making a company more attractive on the labour market.

Advertising alone is not enough

To attract the attention of professionals, HR departments have to advertise their companies. But what if this is not enough?

"Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing a difficult situation. Due to the lack of qualified personnel, customer orders have to be postponed or even cancelled. This causes customer dissatisfaction and, in the worst case, leads to a loss of sales," explains Mariana Nemtsev from Primasteps.

Looking at the age pyramid, this development can be fully explained and also predicted for the coming years.

Accordingly, the supply of skilled workers from abroad is inevitable and represents an excellent opportunity to mitigate the effects of demographic change on the German labour market.

Sustainable integration of refugees

In view of the war in Ukraine, many companies are planning to employ the more than one million refugees who have arrived in Germany. In order to support the German labour market as skilled workers, refugees take an integration language course and confirm their qualifications.

"For a sustainable integration, we support both Ukrainian job seekers and interested companies from the Fulda district in finding jobs that meet their needs," says Nemtsev.

"In addition to career counselling and training for both parties, we offer support in communicating with state authorities and handling the formalities required for paperwork, up to and including the start of employment.
