Entitlement to an AVGS for private employment

The entitlement to an AVGS for private employment placement is generally decided by your placement or integration specialist, who, as an expert on the labor market, assesses whether private employment placement is appropriate for you.

If you are a client of the Employment Agency (Agentur für Arbeit), you can receive an AVGS for private employment placement if you have been unemployed for more than 6 weeks and are entitled to unemployment benefits.

Clients of the Jobcenter may receive an AVGS for private employment placement under certain conditions, but there is no legal entitlement. The decision is at the discretion of the Jobcenter’s integration specialist, who will assess whether the measure is useful and supports your entry into the labor market. If the integration specialist deems the voucher helpful, an AVGS can also be issued for Jobcenter clients.
